What is a CSA?

“CSA” stands for community supported agriculture. This relatively new socio-economic concept changes the way food is produced, distributed and sold, creating small scale closed markets for farmers in which the consumer participates in the risk and rewards of the farm. One of the great benefits of the CSA (in addition to receiving produce the day it is picked) is that it gives our farmers more opportunity to do what they do best –grow your food. The farmers also receive more money for their crops and save time by not having to market produce to stores.

Plus a little Inspiration

In every box, we include a menu with recipes for a complete dinner each week comprised of your box ingredients. Our answer to the Dinner in a Box craze that a lot of our customers subscribe to in the winter and early spring when the local gardens aren’t producing readily available fresh produce. Our menus are fun and easy for any level home chef. Get cooking already!

What Makes Us Special?

  • We are a multi-farm CSA, you get the best of what’s growing in Paonia.

  • A chef and an herbalist pack the box- so we will inspire you!

  • We deliver right to your doorstep.

  • Fruit is included in our farm share, at no additional charge.

  • We reuse paper grocery bags to keep down on the waste.
